Foo Fighters NME'S Big Gig at the Wembley Arena

Foo Fighters revealed songs from their upcoming album which take place at a one-off gig in London.

The band featured sets from No Age, Band Of Horses and Cee Lo Green, his sold out crowd at NME's Big Gig at the Wembley Arena.

Their first official gig in two years, Performing, Foo fighters new album "Wasted Light" from a large number of songs played.

Dave Grohl said, "You guys realise this is like out first f*cking show in two years. It's nice to say we're back.

You guys know we've got a new record coming out in a month and a half? There's some songs we'd like to play you off it."

Then the band released new single "Rope" and including other new songs are ‘White Limo’ and 'These Days'.

Tyler bags victory down Wembley way

In front of a packed Wembley Arena,Tyler Goodjohn winning streams begin his professional career with a points victory over the experienced Matt Seawright.

"It was a good win," said Goodjohn, from Wentworth.

"I won every round and nearly put him down in the fourth. He was a real spoiler and very experienced, so he knew how to stay in the fight.

"I was a bit disappointed the fight was only four rounds. I don’t really know why they brought it down.

"In the fourth round I started to land some really big shots. If there had been just one more round I’m sure I would have got him out of it.

"Going into the fight I felt really fit. By the fourth round I was just getting warmed up. In a way it’s a good thing it was only four rounds, but to be told the day before the fight it was going down from six was a bit disappointing."

For the former Haddenham ABC star to boxing at Wembley Arena was a special moment and being appreciated by around 100 supporters, including elder brother Liam who he supported the previous week, made the atmosphere even better.

"It was really good to box there," said Goodjohn. "The atmosphere was brilliant. I thought I’d get nervous, but I didn’t. I managed to rise to the occasion and really enjoyed it."

My Chemical Romance Played At Wembley Arena

My Chemical Romance are to headline a UK festival this summer announced by them however, they kept it secret as to what one it will be.

On Saturday (February 12th), at Wembley Arena in London,band had played their first show of UK tour this year.

Band has been rumored for headlining Reading and Leeds Festival.Melvin Benn, organiser of said festival, recently confirmed that those taking the top spots at the event will not be headlining any other UK festival - therefore My Chemical Romance are a likely choice.

Currently the band is in the mid of UK tour and will complete the tour at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on February 22nd.

London 2012 Olympics venues: Wembley Arena

Wembley Arena is a regular host of sporting events, including boxing, ice hockey and darts, so there is a fairly small amount of preparation needed to be done to get it ready for the badminton and rhythmic gymnastics, during which it will be capable of hosting 6,000 spectators.

Any possible issues will be smoothed out at the Badminton World Championships, which will take place at the Arena in August this year and act as a Test event. The Arena’s most familiar appearance is as a concert venue for pop and rock acts and its location on the Jubilee Line means fans can get to and from the Olympic Park and Central London with minimum fuss.

The downside of the relative ease of hosting the event is that there will be no post-Games legacy for badminton.

Fury returns to ring on Wembley bill

On the 19th of February at Wembley arena,Tyson Fury, one of Britain’s best heavyweight prospects returns to the ring in order to face an as yet unnamed opponent.

Fury had recently trained with esteemed trainer Emanuel Steward in current months which will no doubt ensure long-term as well as short-term improvements to his game.

The Wembley show is a great opportunity for London fans in particular to watch how the Mancunian is progressing under his new trainer.

Also on the bill is a rematch for the vacant Welterweight title between John O’Donnell and Craig Watson. Also appearing will be Ashley Theopane and Lenny Daws in a light-welterwight clash.
